Hi my Name is Debra Hogan. I am a mother of four
children that I have been photographing for 25 years.
I have a passion for photography that has stayed with me
over the years, a passion only shared with family and
friends until recent years.
I am drawn to the more creative side of photography and
look for things that I believe appeal to people, aspects
they might not have noticed without the
technology of the digital camera, and of course the
photographer.
I am particularly interested in wedding Photography,
since it no longer consists of only formal posed images.
There is an opportunity to be creative and capture the
emotions of the day in a more casual and relaxed
atmosphere.
We endeavour to capture the moment and provide quality
photographs but most importantly, you have the memories
to last forever.

I have
loved being a photographer for more than 30 years, and
over that time have developed a great love of the
outback and its people.
The outback has a special appeal, and although I
photograph all manner of things from real estate to
weddings, my passion is for the wonderful scenery of the
west. I started taking photographs with a Pentax SP1000
and later moved to Nikon film cameras. The advent
of Digital and in particular Photoshop really changed
the way I saw photography and allowed more integration
between my web design and marketing business.
Most
recently I have returned to film with a new 6x17
panorama camera allowing me to capture the essence of
the outback's wide open spaces and to make images that
share some of the wonders of the outback on film.
Our
Outback Pics photography, based here in Longreach, has
evolved from work we have done for clients in western
Queensland. We loved it so we moved here.
Deb and I
both have a great passion for our work, and although we
make our images in quite different ways, our partnership has
allowed us to develop something really special. We hope
you enjoy what we do as much was we enjoy doing it.
